Most unused items purchased from Target in new condition and returned within 90 days are eligible for a refund or exchange. The return period for items bought on Target.com begins when the order is invoiced, which occurs once any portion of the order is shipped, delivered by a Shipt shopper, or prepared for pickup. Certain items have a different return policy, which is indicated on the receipt, packing slip, or Target policy board. Opened or damaged items, or those without a receipt, may not qualify for a refund or exchange. In-store returns without a valid receipt will be rejected. Certain items, like electronics, might have a shorter return period. Unused physical Target Promotional GiftCards must be returned to receive their full value. The customer must have the proof of purchase to initiate the return.
Trading cards and accessories, such as Pokémon and sports cards or trading card binders, along with open or defective collectibles like special edition Barbie dolls, porcelain dolls, action figures, and die-cast cars, cannot be returned. Personalized items and digital downloads are also non-returnable. Opened or unsealed breast pumps are not eligible for return. Additionally, specialty gift cards, pre-paid gift cards, and Target GiftCards cannot be returned or exchanged for cash or credit, except where mandated by law. This includes Target GiftCards, as well as Visa®, Mastercard®, or American Express® Gift Cards, and restaurant, entertainment, or lottery cards.

Most beauty products purchased in-store or online can be returned within 90 days with a receipt, even if opened. If bought with your Target Circle™ Card, the return window extends to 120 days.
To return items to Target, you must print a return shipping label. Since Target orders can be shipped in separate packages, you might need to print several return labels. If multiple items are listed on the same shipping label, they can be returned together in one package.
Not all recalled products need to be returned to Target for a refund. In certain instances, you will need to contact the vendor directly for a repair, replacement, or refund.
We cannot process returns for items bought through a third-party delivery service. Please reach out to the service provider directly to request a refund.
Typically, refunds are processed back to the original payment method used for the purchase. If multiple payment methods were used, the refund may be distributed across all of them.
