The warranty specifically excludes damage from punctures, cuts, impact breaks (potholes), or irregular wear caused by mechanical issues like poor alignment.
Confirm that your tires are within the "Standard Limited Warranty" window, which typically covers the life of the original usable tread.
Ensure you are the original purchaser and have your dated sales invoice ready; mileage-based claims also require documentation showing the vehicle’s odometer reading at the time of the original installation.
Unlike consumer electronics, tire warranty claims must be processed through an authorized Yokohama retail tire dealer in the United States. You cannot ship a tire back to the manufacturer yourself for assessment.
Present the tire(s) in question to the dealer’s service department for a professional inspection. The technician will measure the remaining tread depth and check the tire's interior and exterior for warrantable conditions.
If a warrantable condition is found during the first 2/32 inch of wear (or within 12 months of purchase), the tire may be eligible for a No-Charge Replacement, including free mounting and balancing.
If the tire has worn beyond the initial free-replacement period, any warranty credit will be pro-rated based on the amount of usable tread remaining; you will be responsible for the difference in cost for the new tire, plus taxes and service fees.
While submitting your claim, you are highly encouraged to complete your Product Registration via the official online portal; this is a critical step that allows the company to reach you directly in the event of a safety recall.
For those who recently purchased a set of four, remember the 30-Day Trial Performance Promise if you are unsatisfied with the ride for any reason, you can return them to the original dealer within 30 days for a full refund (mounting/balancing included).
