What is covered under the Westinghouse Warranty?

Westinghouse always warrants all of its products to the original purchaser that the product will not be defective in both workmanship and material under normal use and maintenance. It always agrees to repair or replace any defective product at Westinghouse’s sole discretion free of charge only when you provide them with proof of purchase like receipt of purchase having the date, model and serial number and the product has to be bought from an authorized service dealer. You must also be able to convince Westinghouse that your care and usage are genuine. You can even expect an exchange of products of the same value if repairing doesn’t make sense. Be noted that you are always responsible for the return costs in the process.

What is NOT covered under the Westinghouse Warranty?

Westinghouse has specific limitations on what is excluded in the claim. As per their procedures, Any defect due to cosmetic defects such as decals, paints, etc; failures caused by any oils, contaminated fuels, or lack of proper oil levels; failures caused by any external cause or act of God, including but not limited to theft, collision, riot, vandalism, fire, war, lightning, freezing, windstorm, hail, water, flood, earth-quake, tornado, or a hurricane; modifications that are not recommended by Westinghouse and from unauthorized sources; failure due to misapplication, improper care & maintenance, accident, negligence normal wear & tear are always excluded from the warranty. Any consequential, incidental or indirect damages caused by defects in materials or workmanship & costs of adjustments and normal preventive maintenance are also not covered by the claim. Expenses related to “customer instruction” or troubleshooting where no manufacturing defect is found are obviously excluded.
