Step 1:

  • Please register your product by giving the serial number, purchase location, name, address you have lived at, and date of installation. 

  • Your cabinet must be registered within a year of the installation date of the unit in order to be eligible for an extended 7–12 components only sealed system warranty. Please be aware that the extended warranty does not apply to ice makers.

Step 2:

  • The warranty only covers the original buyer or user to whom it was supplied; it is not transferable. Any such transfer or assignment will render all warranties null and invalid. 

  • Economic loss, profit loss, special, indirect, or consequential damages—including, but not limited to, losses or damages resulting from allegations of food or product deterioration, whether or not refrigeration failure was a factor—are not covered by TRUE's liability policy.

Step 3:

  • Repairs or replacements of malfunctioning or damaged parts arising from low or excessive voltage, the use of extension cords, or incorrect grounding of the device are not covered by TRUE.

  • Any warranty claims for products sold or used outside of the United States or Canada are not covered by the warranty, and TRUE is not liable for any such claims.

  • During the warranty process, True Residential Refrigeration may provide you with one of the following solutions: either a warranty replacement or warranty service during the warranty period. The time duration depends on the products they manufacture.

True Residential Refrigeration Warranty Period:

  • 30-day limited warranty on Cosmetics

  • 3-year limited warranty on parts and labor

  • 6-year limited warranty on parts and labor for sealed systems purchased after Feb 1, 2013

  • 7 to 12-year limited warranty on parts for sealed systems purchased after Feb 1, 2017

What is covered under the True Residential Refrigeration Warranty?

TRUE assures that each new unit is free from defects in material or workmanship under normal and proper use and maintenance, as specified by TRUE. The limited warranty is contingent upon the proper installation and start-up in accordance with the instruction packet supplied with each TRUE unit and applies to the original purchaser.

What is NOT covered under the True Residential Refrigeration Warranty?

The limited warranty excludes coverage for damage arising from various factors, including transportation, storage, installation, improper use, failure to follow product instructions or perform preventive maintenance, modifications or alterations, neglect, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, and external causes such as accidents, abuse, acts of God, or other events beyond our reasonable control. In essence, the warranty does not extend to damages resulting from a range of circumstances and actions listed.
