How to claim Tappan Warranty?

The limited warranty is valid for one year from the initial purchase date, during which Electrolux will cover all expenses related to repairing or replacing any faulty components of the appliance, provided that the appliance is installed, used, and maintained in accordance with the provided instructions. It's important to retain your receipt, delivery slip, or any other suitable payment record to establish the warranty period in case service is needed. Please note that this warranty is applicable exclusively in the USA and Canada. In the USA, your appliance is under the warranty of Electrolux Major Appliances North America, a division of Electrolux Home Products, Inc.

The warranty exclusions are as follows: The warranty does not apply to products with original serial numbers that have been removed, altered, or are not easily discernible. It also does not cover products that have been transferred from the original owner to another party or taken outside the USA or Canada. Rust on the unit's interior or exterior is not covered. Products purchased "as-is" are exempt from this warranty, as is any food loss resulting from refrigerator or freezer malfunctions. Appliances used in a commercial setting are not covered, nor are service calls that do not pertain to material or workmanship defects, or for appliances not used in ordinary household settings or not in compliance with provided instructions. Service calls to correct appliance installation or provide usage instructions are excluded. Expenses incurred to make the appliance accessible for servicing, such as removing trim, cupboards, shelves, etc., not originally part of the appliance when shipped from the factory, are not covered. Service calls for repairing or replacing appliance light bulbs, air filters, water filters, other consumables, or cosmetic parts like knobs, handles, are not covered. Surcharges, including after-hour, weekend, or holiday service calls, tolls, ferry trip charges, or mileage expenses for service calls to remote areas, such as the state of Alaska, are not included. Damages to the appliance or home finish during installation, including floors, cabinets, walls, etc., are not covered. Finally, damages caused by unauthorized service companies, the use of non-genuine Electrolux parts or parts obtained from unauthorized service companies, or external factors like abuse, misuse, inadequate power supply, accidents, fires, or acts of nature, are also excluded from the warranty.
