3 Simple Steps for Citizen Watch Warranty Claim:

Step 1:

  • Your invaluable watches have to be enrolled in the registration form. Registering provides customers with an extra one-year warranty, free of charge, in addition to the existing five-year limited warranty, offering enhanced benefits.

  • Registration is open exclusively to individuals who have been residing within the United States.

  • To check the status of your order, you will need to provide your order number, email address, and the billing zip code associated with your purchase.

Step 2:

  • Products can be returned, given that they are in their original condition and were acquired from the official website. Please ensure that any gift with purchase items is also included in the return; failure to return any of these items may result in additional charges.

  • Please allow up to a two-week processing time for your return to be completed. It's important to note that Gift Cards and charges for expedited shipping (UPS 2-Day and UPS Overnight) are non-refundable.

  • Registered users can initiate the procedure by logging in, while guest users are permitted to follow the process they used when tracking their orders.

Step 3:

  • The form, which includes information about the country, name, email, and a comment box, must be submitted to contact the customer service department.

  • As a result of the exceptionally high call volume, please be advised that you may encounter longer-than-usual waiting times.

  • During the warranty process, Citizen Watch may provide you with one of the following solutions: either a warranty replacement or warranty service during the warranty period.

What is covered under the Citizen Watch Warranty?

The limited warranty is applicable to purchases made in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, the Caribbean, and Mexico, specifically from authorized retailers of Citizen Watch Company. Citizen Watch guarantees that this watch (with exceptions for the power cell, case and its components [including crystal, stem, crown], bracelet and its components [including clasp, links, pins, screws], strap and its components, or any accessories) is free from material and workmanship defects and adheres to the specified timekeeping accuracy mentioned in the instructions for a duration of five years, starting from the original retail purchase date within the authorized sales regions. If the watch exhibits a defect due to regular usage, Citizen Watch will, at their discretion, either regulate, adjust, repair or replace the movement, as needed, within a reasonable timeframe when the watch is returned during the warranty period. It's important to note that any photocopies or original warranty certificates that appear to have been altered will not be honored.

  • 5-year limited warranty on Citizen watches

What is NOT covered under the Citizen Watch Warranty?

The warranty does not cover various circumstances, including damage, whether accidental or otherwise, to the watch while in the possession of a consumer if it was not caused by a defect in material or workmanship. It also excludes damage resulting from accidents, misuse, tampering, or the failure to adhere to care and special handling instructions provided. Moreover, any damage or scratches to the case, crystal, bracelet, strap, or other components caused by wear or accidents are not covered. For watches not labeled as 'water-resistant' on the case back, any moisture damage, or damage in 'water-resistant' models due to opening the watch or damage to broken components, is not included in the warranty. The warranty also doesn't cover damage arising from the consumer's failure to have the watch serviced at their own expense, as per the specified schedule of regular maintenance. Finally, any damage caused by repairs or alterations conducted by individuals other than those at one of the Authorized Service Centers listed in the provided booklet is not within the scope of the warranty.
