What is covered under the Summit Appliances Warranty?

Products from Felix Storch, Inc. (FSI), including those under Summit Appliances, Summit Commercial, Accucold, and PureTherm divisions, come with a one-year limited warranty covering both parts and labor. Some Accucold-branded refrigerators and freezers offer an extended 12-month warranty for a two-year limited warranty for parts and labor. All refrigerators and freezers are backed by a 5-year limited warranty on the compressor. For microwaves and FSI accessories, there's a 90-day limited warranty. FSI warrants that the cabinet and all parts of every new unit are free from material or workmanship defects for the original purchaser, provided that the product is used, maintained, installed, and started up as specified in FSI's instructions. This warranty is valid for 12 months from the date of the original purchase. Select Accucold products offer a 24-month warranty for both parts and labor. Any parts determined to be defective by FSI during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced, including labor charges.

What is NOT covered under the Summit Appliances Warranty?

FSI shall not be held responsible for economic loss, loss of profits, or any special, direct, indirect, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to, losses or damages resulting from claims related to food or product spoilage, regardless of whether it's due to refrigeration failure. FSI does not provide coverage for expenses associated with damage, whether it's cosmetic or otherwise, to a unit that was purchased as an open box or scratch and dent item. It's important to note that the warranty policy does not apply in cases of improper use, alteration, neglect, abuse, misuse, accidents, damage during transit or installation, fires, floods, acts of nature, or improper electrical connections. Furthermore, this warranty is not valid for warranty claims on products sold or used outside the contiguous 48 United States. Specifically, it excludes Alaska, Hawaii, all off-shore territories, and Canada.
