  • Confirm that the factory serial numbers and identification tags are intact, as products with missing or altered serial numbers are typically ineligible for factory service.

Step 2:

  • Consult the Speco Knowledge Base to perform initial troubleshooting, which can often resolve configuration, password, or firmware-related issues without requiring a return.

  • Open a diagnostic ticket with the technical support team; be prepared to provide system reports or a detailed description of the failure to help determine if the unit requires a physical workshop inspection.

  • Rule out environmental factors by verifying that the unit was installed using a certified power supply and is operating within the specified temperature and humidity ranges.

Step 3:

  • If a defect is confirmed, obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number from the technical department; hardware shipped without this number clearly marked on the package will be refused.

  • Package the defective unit securely ideally in its original carton and include all requested accessories to ensure the product is protected during transportation to the service center.

  • Coordinate with the support representative for the final resolution; at the brand's discretion, the non-conforming hardware will be repaired or replaced with new or refurbished parts to restore it to factory standards.
