Ensure you have the original purchase documentation from an authorized Pelco dealer, as the hardware guarantee is valid for the original purchaser and requires a legitimate proof of purchase.
Verify that the factory identification labels and serial numbers are intact, as any alteration or removal of these identifiers may lead to the rejection of your service claim.
Access the Pelco Knowledge Base to perform initial troubleshooting, which can often resolve common configuration or firmware issues without requiring a physical return.
Open a diagnostic ticket via the official support portal; you may be asked to provide system reports or specific error logs to help the technical team determine if the unit requires workshop service.
Rule out environmental factors by verifying that the hardware was installed using approved Pelco mounting accessories and is operating within its rated temperature and power specifications.
If a hardware defect is confirmed, obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from the technical team; hardware sent without this authorization will not be accepted at the service center.
Follow the detailed packaging guidelines to ensure sensitive optical components and internal circuitry are protected during transit, ideally using the original factory packaging.
Coordinate with the authorized service provider for the final resolution; at Pelco's discretion, the non-conforming hardware will be repaired or replaced with new or refurbished parts to restore it to factory standards.
