Step 1:

  • Seagate provides a straightforward option for their customers to claim a warranty for their products.

  • Navigate to their warranty and replacement page, where you can check the warranty validation of your products by entering the serial number and country.

  • Once you confirm that your product is within the warranty period, claim your warranty by tapping the “Start Claim” button located just below the page. Then choose the “end users” option and follow the steps provided to successfully submit the warranty claim.

Step 2:

  • You need to furnish basic details such as name, email address, phone number, address, and serial number of the product. The experts from Seagate will provide you a Return Order Number which you will need to use while returning the products.

  • Products must be returned to Seagate, either in their original packaging or packaging with proper protective techniques, and then shipped to Seagate directly or to an authorized dealer.

  • After the verification process, Seagate will replace your product with a functionally equivalent one without any charge.

  • Also, note that the company will pay for sending you the replaced products. However, you are responsible for the products sent by you to the company.

Seagate offers a Limited Warranty for their products. However, the products must be purchased only from Seagate or authorized resellers/dealers. The Limited Warranty includes the manufacturer’s damages resulting from defects in materials and workmanship. The Limited Warranty applies solely to hardware products, software, manuals, and media – and is subject to licensing through distinct written agreements. Also, the warranty service will be provided only when your product is returned to an authorized return center in the region where the product was initially shipped by Seagate.

The Limited Warranty excludes the damages caused by commercial use, accident, abuse, electrostatic discharge, degaussing, improper maintenance, or installation, and humidity & heat beyond the product specification. Also, the malfunctions caused by the use of other equipment are excluded. The warranty coverage is not designed to cover any data loss or lost passwords.
