A valid serial number has to be entered to complete the warranty registration for Scotsman products. The cost of the repair should be paid by the owner of the product if the Consumer Service Department of Scotsman confirms that your product is out of warranty coverage.
You must submit the purchase information for the warranty claim process to either the dealer from whom you bought the product, the local distributor of Scotsman Consumer Products, or your local Scotsman Distributor-approved service company.
The warranty serves as a substitute for any other explicit warranties or guarantees of any nature. It provides you with distinct legal rights, and you may possess additional rights that differ depending on the state in which you reside.
In certain states, there may be restrictions on the duration of implied warranties or limitations on excluding incidental or consequential damages. Therefore, the limitations and exclusions mentioned above might not be applicable to you based on your location.

Scotsman assures the original purchaser-user that any consumer product bearing the Scotsman brand, manufactured by them, will be devoid of material and workmanship defects upon shipment from the factory. The product is expected to perform adequately under normal use, provided it is correctly installed and maintained in accordance with the accompanying manual. The warranty is applicable only in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Floor display models sold more than three years after the manufacture date are subject to shorter warranty periods. The warranty for the Three-Year-Old Floor Display is valid if the Scotsman's registration form is completed and returned to the factory at the time of installation. During the limited labor warranty period, Scotsman will reimburse labor costs necessary to repair or replace any component failing due to a factory defect in material or workmanship. It's important to note that the labor warranty covers only straight-time labor charges.
6-month warranty on parts and labor for three-year-old floor display models
1-year warranty on parts and labor for SCC, DCE, SCR, and SCV models
2-year warranty on parts and labor for SCN models
The warranty excludes coverage for parts or labor related to component failure or damage arising from various circumstances, including electrical power or water supply failures, operation of the product beyond specified limits or under adverse conditions as outlined in the manual, drain line malfunctions as specified in the manual, and failure to clean and maintain the product as instructed in the manual. Additionally, the warranty does not apply to any component or assembly that has undergone accident, alteration, or misuse or has not been installed or serviced in accordance with the manual accompanying the product. Products with altered or removed serial numbers are also not covered under the warranty.
