Step 1:

  • Locate the unique Model Number and Date Code on the bicycle frame (typically found on a sticker near the bottom bracket or on the head tube); these are required for all service actions.

  • Note that while Schwinn does not require formal warranty registration, you must be the initial consumer purchaser to be eligible for coverage.

  • Secure a digital copy of your original purchase receipt, as this is a mandatory requirement to validate your claim and establish the start of your warranty period.

  • Confirm that the bicycle is in its original configuration; any modification, such as the installation of an unauthorized power plant or engine, will void the warranty.

Step 2:

  • Consult your owner’s manual before filing a claim; many common issues can be quickly resolved with standard adjustments or routine maintenance.

  • Capture clear photos or videos of the affected component(s); the consumer care team requires visual evidence of the failure to determine the next steps for repair or replacement.

  • Rule out non-standard use; the warranty does not cover failures resulting from competition, jumping, trick riding, or carrying heavy loads beyond the bike's design limits.

Step 3:

  • To proceed with a claim, complete the Contact Us form on the official website or call to speak with a Consumer Care representative.

  • Provide the model number, date code, and purchase information as requested; claims missing this data will be automatically denied.

  • Retain the bicycle during the evaluation process; in some cases, you may be required to return the product to the place of purchase or to Pacific Cycle for further inspection.

Schwinn Warranty Period:

  • Lifetime limited warranty on the frame for the original purchaser, 1‑year warranty on most parts, and 2‑year warranty on pedal‑assist components
