Step 1:

  • Locate the unique Model Number and Date Code stamped on the frame (typically near the bottom bracket); these identifiers are mandatory for any warranty consideration.

  • Note that no warranty registration is required for Mongoose products; however, you must be the initial consumer purchaser, as the warranty is strictly non-transferable.

  • Secure a digital copy of your original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to validate that the claim is being made by the original owner within the valid coverage window.

  • Confirm that the bike has not been modified; any alteration to the frame, brakes, or drivetrain, or the installation of an unauthorized power plant, will void the warranty immediately.

Step 2:

  • Consult the Mongoose YouTube channel or your owner's manual before filing; many shifting or braking concerns can be resolved with a simple mechanical adjustment rather than a warranty claim.

  • Take clear digital photos or video of the affected part and the entire bike; Mongoose technicians use these to distinguish between a legitimate manufacturer's defect and damage from "beating the living daylights" out of the machine.

  • Rule out external damage; the warranty does not cover "Normal Wear" parts unless they were defective as delivered, nor does it cover accidents, impacts, or cosmetic issues like rust or paint fading.

Step 3:

  • To initiate a claim, complete the Contact Us form at help.mongoose.com or call 800-626-2811 to speak with a Consumer Care representative.

  • Provide your name, address, model number, and a brief description of the incident; claims submitted without a model number and date code will be denied.

  • Retain the bicycle or part; Mongoose may request that the defective item be returned at the owner's expense for a physical evaluation before a final determination is made.

Mongoose Warranty Period:

  • limited warranty that includes a lifetime guarantee on steel frames for the original purchaser and 5‑year coverage on aluminum and full‑suspension frames.
