Schlage offers a lifetime warranty on all mechanical locks. The J series comes with both a lifetime mechanical warranty and a 5-year finish warranty. Additionally, Schlage door knockers are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
The provisions of the warranty do not cover certain costs, expenses, and damages, including but not limited to back charges or labor costs associated with the removal and reinstallation of the product or for regular maintenance; shipping and freight expenses for returning the product to Schlage; failures, defects, or damage (including security breaches, data loss, or failures caused by third-party products or services) attributable to the Original User, third parties, or third-party products, services, or systems connected or used in conjunction with the product; any incidental, consequential, indirect, special, or punitive damages, regardless of whether based on contract, warranty, tort (including strict liability or negligence), patent infringement, or any other legal theory, even if notified of the possibility of such damages; or normal wear and tear.
