What is covered under the LARSON Storm Doors Warranty?

LARSON Storm Doors offers a warranty for the door frame and mounting rails, ensuring they are free from defects in manufacturing, materials, paint adhesion, and workmanship under normal use for a specified period. Additionally, LARSON® provides a one-year warranty for door components, including hardware, window sash, screen frame, retainer strips, closers, and locksets, covering both mechanical operations and finish quality from the original retail purchase date. For ScreenAway doors, LARSON® extends a five-year warranty for the retractable screen, ensuring it is free from defects in manufacturing, materials, and workmanship from the date of original retail purchase. If a component experiences a malfunction due to manufacturing defects, material issues, or workmanship problems within the defined limited warranty period and is accompanied by valid written proof of purchase, LARSON® will, at its discretion, provide a replacement component for as long as the original consumer purchaser remains the homeowner of the property where the door was first installed. Please note that installation is not covered by this warranty. Warranty claims made more than one year from the purchase date may be subject to a shipping and processing fee. This warranty is non-transferable, and only the original purchaser is eligible to make a claim.

What is NOT covered under the LARSON Storm Doors Warranty?

LARSON cannot be held liable for damages, product malfunctions, or unsatisfactory product performance resulting from various factors, including normal wear and tear. This encompasses expected wear and tear of weatherstrips and natural weathering of surfaces, as well as typical wear and tear experienced by hardware, including natural changes in hardware finishes such as corrosion or tarnishing. Additionally, the warranty does not extend to issues arising from exposure to chemicals like brick wash or harsh environmental conditions, such as certain coastal areas with salt spray, acid rain, or airborne pollutants, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Excluded from coverage are cases of misuse, abuse, inadequate maintenance of the product, or any alterations or modifications made to the product, such as customer-applied tints or films, paint finishes, or the addition of security systems. Damages resulting from acts of nature (e.g., fires, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes), acts of third parties (e.g., civil disorder), building settling, structural failures of walls or foundations, improper installation, installation mishaps, storage, or handling are not covered. Furthermore, any issues related to operational problems or water and/or air infiltration/leaking due to improper installation or flaws in building design or construction are not included in this warranty. Lastly, damage caused by condensation or condensation-related issues is not covered.
