What is covered under the LARSON Storm Doors Warranty?

LARSON Storm Doors provides a warranty for the door frame and mounting rails, ensuring they are free from defects in manufacturing, materials, paint adhesion, and workmanship under normal use for a specified period. Additionally, LARSON® offers a one-year warranty for door components, including hardware, window sash, screen frame, retainer strips, closers, and locksets, covering both mechanical operation and finish quality from the original retail purchase date. For ScreenAway doors, LARSON® extends a five-year warranty for the retractable screen, ensuring it is free from defects in manufacturing, materials, and workmanship from the date of original retail purchase. If a component encounters a malfunction due to manufacturing defects, material issues, or workmanship problems within the defined limited warranty period and is accompanied by valid written proof of purchase, LARSON® will, at its discretion, supply a replacement component for as long as the original consumer purchaser remains the homeowner of the property where the door was installed first. Please note that installation is not covered by this warranty. Warranty claims made more than one year from the purchase date may be subject to a shipping and processing fee. This is a non-transferable warranty and the original purchaser is eligible to claim the warranty.

What is NOT covered under the LARSON Storm Doors Warranty?

LARSON cannot be held responsible for damages, product malfunctions, or subpar product performance resulting from various factors, including normal wear and tear, such as the expected wear and tear of weatherstrips and the natural weathering of surfaces. This includes the usual wear and tear experienced by hardware and the naturally occurring changes in hardware finishes, like corrosion or tarnishing. Furthermore, the warranty does not cover issues arising from exposure to chemicals like brick wash or harsh environmental conditions, such as certain coastal areas with salt spray, acid rain, or airborne pollutants, unless otherwise explicitly stated. Excluded from coverage are instances of misuse, abuse, or failure to adequately maintain the product, as well as any alterations or modifications made to the product, such as customer-applied tints or films, paint finishes, or the addition of security systems. Damages attributed to acts of nature (such as fires, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes), acts of third parties (like civil disorder), building settling, structural failures of walls or foundations, improper installation, installation mishaps, storage, or handling are not covered. Moreover, any problems related to operational issues or water and/or air infiltration/leaking resulting from improper installation or flaws in building design or construction fall outside the scope of this warranty. Lastly, condensation-related damage or damage due to condensation is not covered.
