What is covered under the Krups Warranty?

Krups provides a one-year warranty for its original accessories and spare parts, safeguarding against any manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. The warranty period begins from the initial date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later. However, spare parts that require specific tools or technical expertise to install come with a three-month warranty. This manufacturer's warranty covers all expenses associated with rectifying any proven defects in the product, ensuring it complies with its original specifications. This can be accomplished through the repair or replacement of any defective component and the necessary labor. Krups may choose to offer a replacement product in place of repairing a defective one. Your sole recourse under this warranty and Krups' exclusive obligation is limited to such repair or replacement. The warranty is valid exclusively for items acquired and utilized for domestic purposes.

What is NOT covered under the Krups Warranty?

The warranty provided by Krups has specific limitations that exclude coverage for various circumstances. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, negligence, failure to adhere to Krups' instructions, product modification, unauthorized repairs, inadequate packaging by the owner, or mishandling during transportation by any carrier. Additionally, normal wear and tear, maintenance, or replacement of consumable parts are not covered. The warranty does not apply to situations such as using incorrect water or consumables, experiencing issues related to incorrect voltage or frequency as indicated on the product ID or specifications, scaling (which should be performed according to the user instructions), accidents like fires, floods, or lightning strikes, mechanical damage or overloading, the intrusion of water, dust, or insects into the product (excluding appliances designed for insect protection), damage to glass or porcelain components, professional or commercial usage, stains, discoloration, or scratches, oven use (except for products explicitly designed for this purpose), product impacts or falls, burns caused by exposure to heat or flame, cleaning in a dishwasher (unless the product is specifically designed for it), and damage resulting from thermal shocks.
