Step 1:

  • Locate the unique Serial Number on the underside of the bottom bracket shell; this identifier is required for all service actions to confirm the model and original ownership.

  • Ensure your bicycle was originally assembled by an authorized Kona dealer; the warranty is valid only if the bike was professionally built and adjusted at the point of sale.

  • Secure a digital copy of your original bill of sale or dated proof of purchase, as the hardware guarantee is valid only for the original retail purchaser and is strictly non-transferable.

  • Confirm that the frame and components are in their original configuration; any modification, alteration, or unauthorized painting of the frame or fork will void the warranty in its entirety.

Step 2:

  • Take your clean product and original proof of purchase to your nearest authorized Kona dealer; they are the exclusive points of contact for initiating and evaluating a warranty concern.

  • Describe the specific issue to the service department; Kona will, at its sole discretion, determine if the part is defective in materials or workmanship.

  • Rule out external factors by ensuring the bike has been used under normal conditions, as the guarantee does not cover damage from abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance.

Step 3:

  • If a defect is confirmed by Kona, the company will repair or replace the defective part or frame; note that the color of the replacement may vary from the original. Coordinate with the retailer regarding the resolution; the original owner is responsible for all labor and shipping charges connected with the repair or replacement.

  • For damage not covered by the warranty (like picking the wrong line), ask your dealer about Kona Crash Replacement, which offers special pricing on replacement frames and forks for original owners.

  • You can also use our Contact Us page to connect directly with the company for any further assistance or inquiries.
