Step 1:

  • Confirm that your product was purchased from a Kensington authorized reseller or distributor. This warranty is non-transferable and does not apply to products purchased from unauthorized resellers, including internet auction sites such as eBay. It covers only the original purchaser.

  • Check your product's specific warranty period by visiting the Kensington website and using the warranty search feature. Kensington offers 1-year, 2-year, 3-year, 5-year, and Limited Lifetime warranties, depending on the product. Always retain your dated sales receipt as proof of purchase, as it is required for all warranty service.

  • Make sure the issue is a genuine defect in materials or workmanship under normal use. Damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, or negligence is not covered. The product must also have been used with the equipment specified on the product box and handled according to the instructions provided.

Step 2:

  • Visit the Kensington support website to register your product. For Limited Lifetime Warranty claims, proof of original ownership, such as the original receipt, warranty card registration, or online registration, is required. Warranty claims under the Limited Lifetime Warranty must be made within 60 days of the occurrence.

  • Complete your registration with your product model, serial number, and date of purchase. Keeping this information on file will make it much easier to process any future warranty or support requests quickly.

  • Retain your original dated sales receipt in a safe place for the full duration of your warranty period. This will serve as the primary evidence of the purchase date and will be required for any warranty service request.

Step 3:

  • Visit the Kensington support website and contact the technical support team for warranty service procedures. If you purchased directly from Kensington.com, you can report a suspected product defect within 90 days of the shipment date. Damaged products received must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Be prepared to provide your product details, proof of purchase, and a description of the defect. Kensington will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective unit covered under the warranty. Please note that repairs or alterations made by anyone not authorized by Kensington may void the warranty.

  • If you purchased directly from Kensington.com and wish to return a non-defective product, you may do so within 30 days of the shipment date. Returns of non-defective used equipment will not be accepted, and custom-made or clearance product sales are final and not eligible for return. Return processing typically takes 7–10 business days after the product is received.

Kensington Warranty Period:

  • Kensington Computer Products Group generally provides a 1 to 5-year limited warranty on most products, with many items, such as docking stations and mice, covered for 2 years from the original purchase date. Warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship.
