Step 1:

  • Kenmore offers a warranty for the products purchased from their authorized Transformco retailers, formerly known as Sears Brands Management Corporation. Some of the authorized retailers are Sears, Kmart, Amazon, Costco, and Lowe’s.

  • Complete the product registration process by filling out their registration form and providing your personal and product details.

  • If your product is found to be defective, they will repair it for free, utilizing skilled technicians who have an average of 11 years of experience.

  • During the warranty process, Kenmore may provide you with one of the following solutions: a warranty replacement or warranty service during a warranty period that ranges from 90 days to 1 year.

Step 2:

  • Note that no fee is applicable for repairing a defective product. When the repair is not feasible, a new product will be replaced and installed free of charge.

  • In order to obtain appliance warranty coverage, you are required to present evidence of the original purchase from an authorized Kenmore (Transformco*) retailer.

Step 3:

  • If you are unable to find any Authorized Transformco retailers within your travel distance of 30 miles for returning in-warranty, defective appliances, or appliances not eligible for repair, contact Kenmore's customer support.

  • Kenmore’s customer support is pretty flexible and reachable. They support all your inquiries about warranty coverage over the phone.

Kenmore Warranty Period:

  • Washers, Dryers, Refrigerators, and Freezers come with a 90-day warranty coverage.

  • Kenmore appliances are protected against material or workmanship defects for 1 year from the original sale date.

  • A lifetime warranty applies to Washer Drive Motor, Storage Bins, Cooktop Gas Burners, Cooktop Electric Burners, Stainless Steel Tub, and Inner Door Panel for purchases made on or after February 4, 2018.

What is covered under the Kenmore Warranty?

As mentioned, all damages due to workmanship and material defects are covered. Kenmore’s warranty is applicable only when the products are properly installed, operated, and maintained as per the instructions given. The warranty also covers spoiled food due to malfunction in freezers and refrigerators. All defects will be verified by Kenmore's authorized service, prior to validating the claim.

What is NOT covered under the Kenmore Warranty?

Kenmore doesn’t hold liability for the damages or failure that happened due to improper installation, alteration made by unauthorized dealers, natural disasters (such as fire or storm), use of detergents, or harsh chemicals not recommended in the instruction guide. The exclusion of warranty also includes discoloration or surface rust resulting from accident, alteration, or misuse. Cracks and scratches on ceramic glass cook tops are not included. However, the discolorations resulting from normal use are included.
