Step 1:

  • Two different individuals have to be contacted to access the warranty service. Your first option should be contacting the authorized KAWAI dealer; when they are not available or able to provide assistance, reach out to the customer service team.

  • You should do the following tasks either send the defective products to a local authorized KAWAI Service Provider or to KAWAI for repair, whichever is preferred by the customer team members.

Step 2:

  • A Return Authorization (RA) Number can be received from the technical support team as it is important in the return process. An RA number is not needed for Non-serialized merchandise such as adaptors, headphones, case parts, or similar items; obtaining pre-authorization from TSD is enough.

  • Retail customers are not supposed to return the acoustic pianos directly to the Kawai. They have to visit the authorized Kawai dealer to process the return authorization. Credit will not be given for damaged units other than providing repair or replacement.

Step 3:

  • This warranty provides you with specific legal rights, and you may also possess additional rights that differ from state to state. KAWAI will not be held responsible for damage incurred by an instrument that is improperly packed or shipped.

  • In certain states, there may be restrictions on the duration of an implied warranty or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Therefore, the limitation or exclusion mentioned above might not be applicable to you.

Kawai Pianos Warranty Period:

  • 10-year full warranty on Kawai acoustic pianos

What is covered under the Kawai Pianos Warranty?

The warranty ensures that the manufacturer fully supports the product, including complete replacement if an issue cannot be rectified. The Kawai warranty specifically addresses defects in materials and workmanship.

What is NOT covered under the Kawai Pianos Warranty?

The warranty does not extend to cover damage, deterioration, or malfunctions resulting from accidents, negligence, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation, or failure to adhere to the instructions outlined in the Owner’s Manual for the instrument. Repair or attempted repair by anyone other than KAWAI or an authorized KAWAI Service Provider is not covered under the warranty. Additionally, any unit that has been altered or has had its serial number defaced, modified, or removed will not be eligible for warranty coverage. Normal wear and tear or routine maintenance, deterioration due to factors like perspiration, corrosive atmosphere, extremes in temperature or humidity, and action noise caused by regular use are also excluded from warranty coverage. Furthermore, damages caused by power line surges, electrical abnormalities, lightning, or acts of God are not covered. Any evidence of alteration, erasing, or forgery of proof-of-purchase documents will result in the warranty being voided.
