What is covered under the Martin Guitars Warranty?

The warranty applies solely to the original owner of the instrument and cannot be transferred. During the warranty period, C. F. Martin will repair or, at its discretion, replace any defective parts of the instrument, subject to the limitations and exclusions outlined.

  • 1-year limited warranty on Little Martin, Backpacker, and 1 Series Ukulele

  • Limited lifetime warranty on other Martin Guitar instruments

What is NOT covered under the Martin Guitars Warranty?

The limited warranty excludes coverage for several scenarios, including normal wear and tear on the instrument, cracks in wood due to exposure to humidity or temperature outside recommended ranges, finish cracks caused by rapid temperature changes, tone or sound complaints, shipping damage, and damage from natural disasters or accidents. Additionally, misuse or abuse of the instrument, failure to follow maintenance instructions outlined in C. F. Martin's user manual, and damage resulting from forceful insertion of end pins or loose end pins are not covered. The warranty also does not apply to damage caused by using accessories such as straps, humidifiers, cables, or tuners, and damage to the finish resulting from exposure to substances like cleaning solvents, alcohol, or cosmetics.

About Martin Guitars

A Martin guitar isn't merely an instrument; it embodies a rich history, representing a lineage of legendary instruments dating back to the company's establishment in 1833. These guitars resonated with Civil War soldiers around campfires, influenced the evolution of music at the turn of the 20th century, and were favored by early music icons such as Jimmie Rodgers and Gene Autry. Over the decades, Martins captivated audiences at events like Woodstock and MTV Unplugged, and their timeless sound continues to grace both classic and contemporary songs across various music genres.
