The limited warranty is effective from the date of purchase, provided that the major appliance is installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with the instructions either attached to the product or provided with it. Jenn-Air, a brand under Whirlpool Corporation or Whirlpool Canada, LP (referred to as "Jenn-Air" hereafter), will cover the cost of factory-specified replacement parts and repair labor to rectify any defects in materials or workmanship that were present at the time of purchase, or, at its sole discretion, replace the product. If your appliance is replaced, the new unit will be covered for the remaining duration of the original unit's warranty period. It's important to note that this limited warranty is applicable exclusively in the United States or Canada and only when the major appliance is used in the country where it was originally purchased. To be eligible for service under the limited warranty, proof of the original purchase date is required.
2-year limited warranty on parts and labor
3 to 5-year limited warranty on certain parts only
The limited warranty excludes several scenarios and conditions, such as the use of the covered product in commercial, non-residential, or multiple-family settings, or in any manner that deviates from the provided user, operator, or installation instructions. It does not cover in-home instruction on product usage or services required to rectify improper product maintenance or installations that don't comply with electrical or plumbing codes. Additionally, it excludes consumable parts like light bulbs, batteries, air or water filters, and more. Defects or damage resulting from the use of non-genuine Jenn-Air parts or accessories are not covered, and neither are conversions of products from natural gas to propane gas. The warranty does not extend to damage from accidents, misuse, abuse, fire, floods, acts of God, or use with products not approved by Jenn-Air. It also does not cover repairs to address product damage or defects caused by unauthorized service, alterations, or modifications of the appliance. Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, chips, and other issues with appliance finishes, is only covered if it results from material and workmanship defects and is reported to Jenn-Air within 30 days. Discoloration, rust, or oxidation of surfaces due to caustic or corrosive environments, like high salt concentrations, moisture, humidity, or exposure to chemicals, are excluded. Any loss of food or medicine due to product failure is not covered. Costs related to pick-up or delivery are not part of the warranty, as this product is intended for in-home repair. Travel or transportation expenses for servicing in remote locations where an authorized Jenn-Air servicer is unavailable are not included. The warranty also excludes services or parts for appliances with original model/serial numbers removed, altered, or not easily determined. The warranty will not be applicable to the removal or reinstallation of appliances or built-in fixtures that are not easily accessible and may hinder the servicing, removal, or replacement of the product.
JennAir, headquartered in Benton Harbor, Michigan, specializes in the design and production of household appliances and fixtures. In its initial years, the company primarily concentrated on manufacturing and promoting industrial fans for a range of commercial and industrial purposes. However, in 1961, Jenn-Air's innovation came to the forefront when they integrated one of these fans into a cooktop range, thus pioneering the first self-ventilated downdraft range. As time progressed, the company broadened its product offerings to encompass a wide array of kitchen appliances, including microwave ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and smaller appliances like mixers and blenders.
