What is covered under the JennAir Warranty?

The limited warranty becomes effective from the purchase date, provided that the major appliance is installed, operated, and maintained according to the instructions either attached to the product or provided with it. Jenn-Air, a brand under Whirlpool Corporation or Whirlpool Canada, LP (hereafter referred to as "Jenn-Air"), will cover the cost of factory-specified replacement parts and repair labor to correct any defects in materials or workmanship present at the time of purchase, or, at its sole discretion, replace the product. If your appliance is replaced, the new unit will be covered for the remaining duration of the original unit's warranty period. It's essential to note that this limited warranty is applicable exclusively in the United States or Canada and only when the major appliance is used in the country where it was originally purchased. Proof of the original purchase date is required to be eligible for service under the limited warranty.

What is NOT covered under the JennAir Warranty?

The limited warranty does not cover various scenarios and conditions, including the use of the covered product in commercial, non-residential, or multi-family settings, or any deviation from the provided user, operator, or installation instructions. It excludes in-home instruction on product usage and services required to address improper product maintenance or installations that do not adhere to electrical or plumbing codes. Additionally, it does not cover consumable parts such as light bulbs, batteries, air or water filters, and others. Defects or damage resulting from the use of non-genuine Jenn-Air parts or accessories are not covered, nor are conversions of products from natural gas to propane gas. Damage from accidents, misuse, abuse, fire, floods, acts of God, or use of unapproved products by Jenn-Air is also not covered. Repairs to address product damage or defects caused by unauthorized service, alterations, or modifications of the appliance are excluded. Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, chips, and other issues with appliance finishes, is only covered if it arises from material and workmanship defects and is reported to Jenn-Air within 30 days. Discoloration, rust, or oxidation of surfaces due to caustic or corrosive environments, such as high salt concentrations, moisture, humidity, or exposure to chemicals, are also excluded. Loss of food or medicine due to product failure is not covered. Costs related to pick-up or delivery are not part of the warranty, as this product is intended for in-home repair. Travel or transportation expenses for servicing in remote locations where an authorized Jenn-Air servicer is unavailable are not included. The warranty also excludes services or parts for appliances with original model/serial numbers removed, altered, or not easily determined. It will not apply to the removal or reinstallation of appliances or built-in fixtures that are not easily accessible and may impede servicing, removal, or replacement of the product.
