Step 1:

  • Visit the official My Hasselblad portal to register your camera body, digital back, and lenses; registration is a critical step to verify ownership and ensure you receive the latest technical service bulletins.

  • Locate your Serial Number (often found inside the battery compartment or on the mounting flange) and secure your Dated Proof of Purchase from an authorized Hasselblad partner.

  • Confirm that your equipment was purchased through an Authorized Hasselblad Dealer; products purchased from unauthorized "grey market" sources may not be eligible for international warranty service or official repairs.

Step 2:

  • Consult the "Support" section on the Hasselblad website to download the latest firmware for your camera and lenses; many interface or connectivity issues are resolved through official software updates.

  • Record a detailed description of the malfunction and capture sample images (in 3FR or FFF RAW format) that demonstrate the issue to help technicians perform a remote diagnosis.

  • Backup all data and remove any third-party accessories, such as straps, filters, or non-Hasselblad batteries, before preparing the unit for inspection.

Step 3:

  • Reach out to the team  directly by initiating a "Service Request" through your My Hasselblad account to generate a formal Service Order.

  • Securely pack your equipment ideally in its original specialized packaging to protect the sensitive sensor and mechanical components; note that users are responsible for shipping and insurance costs when sending items to a service center.

  • Include the printed Service Order/RMA and a copy of your sales receipt inside the package; once the authorized Hasselblad service center (located in Sweden, the USA, or regional hubs) validates the defect, they will coordinate the repair or replacement.

Hasselblad Warranty Period:

  • 2-year limited manufacturer warranty; extendable to 4 years via registration.
