What is covered under the Goodman Warranty?

The warranty extends to flaws in materials and craftsmanship that arise during regular usage and upkeep. It specifically pertains to heating and air conditioning units installed in owner-occupied homes. Distinct warranties are applicable to units installed in other types of residences.

What is NOT covered under the Goodman Warranty?

The warranty excludes units ordered via the Internet, telephone, or other electronic means unless installed by a dealer adhering to all relevant federal, state, and local codes, policies, and licensing requirements. It also excludes Units installed outside the United States, its territories, or Canada, as well as those operated in incomplete structures. Additionally, it does not cover damage or repairs resulting from faulty installation or application, floods, fires, winds, lightning, natural disasters, accidents, corrosive atmospheres, or other conditions beyond Daikin’s control. Nor does it cover damage or the need for repairs caused by the use of incompatible components or accessories, or normal maintenance tasks described in the installation and operating manual, such as coil cleaning, filter replacement, and lubrication. Parts or accessories not supplied or designated by the manufacturer are also excluded, along with damage or the need for repairs resulting from improper use, maintenance, operation, or servicing. Damage or failure of the unit to start due to interruption, surge, or fluctuation in electrical service, or inadequate electrical service, is likewise not covered. Furthermore, any damage or need for repairs caused by frozen or broken water pipes, water damage, moisture intrusion, mold, or other biological growth is excluded. Changes in the unit's appearance that do not affect its performance, replacement of fuses, and replacement or resetting of circuit breakers are not covered either. Finally, damage or the need for repairs resulting from the use of unapproved refrigerant types or used or recycled refrigerant is also excluded from the warranty.
