Step 1:

  • The information regarding your name, email address, country, kind of product, serial number, and when and where you purchased the product has to be submitted in the registration form for warranty.

  • An international distributor licensed by Gibson should be contacted to register the product that you bought from an authorized international dealer. Your warranty rights will be like that even if you do not register.

Step 2:

  • Gibson Guitars grants you a 30-day period from the invoice date to return any products that don't meet your expectations or don't function as intended. You can choose to receive a full refund, full store credit, or exchange the product for another of your choice.

  • A restocking fee of 15% may be deducted after reviewing the return situation and product condition. A refund is not provided unless you meet the return policy criteria.

Step 3:

  • By simply contacting the customer service department, you can receive the return authorization number necessary for returning products still in their original packaging and complete with all collateral materials.

  • The outside packaging should have the RMA numbers labeled on it. They provide you with a call tag along with the RMA number. A copy of the sales receipt should be included in the return packaging.

  • During the warranty process, Gibson Guitars may provide you with one of the following solutions: either a warranty replacement or warranty service during the 2 or 3-year warranty period.

Gibson Guitars Warranty Period:

  • 2-year limited warranty on Demo Shop and Mod Collection instrument or amplifier

  • 3-year warranty on electronics and parts for acoustic player packs and guitars

What is covered under the Gibson Guitars Warranty?

Your recently acquired Gibson product is warranted to be devoid of any defects in materials and craftsmanship throughout the lifetime of the initial retail buyer, with certain restrictions outlined in the warranty. The pickups produced by Gibson Brands, Inc. that are integrated into your product are covered by a warranty for the duration of the original retail purchaser's ownership. The warranty encompasses the expenses associated with labor, materials, and parts (subject to availability and at Gibson's exclusive discretion) for any repairs deemed essential by their Consumer Service Representative, as long as the original buyer possesses the instrument within the specified timeframe explicitly mentioned in the warranty.

What is NOT covered under the Gibson Guitars Warranty?

The warranty provided does not extend to cover any instrument that has undergone alterations or modifications, or if the serial number has been tampered with or changed. It also excludes instruments where the warranty card has been altered or false information provided. Damage resulting from misuse, negligence, accidents, or improper operation is not covered, nor are subjective issues related to tonal characteristics or any shipping damages. Instruments exposed to extreme humidity or temperature conditions, those exhibiting normal wear and tear, or those purchased from an unauthorized dealer or subjected to unauthorized repairs or services are not eligible for warranty coverage. Additionally, any cracking, discoloration, or damage to the finish or plating for any reason is not warranted. Gibson Brands, Inc. does not provide a warranty for the playability of instruments with significantly altered 'action.'
