What is covered under the Gaggenau Warranty?

The limited warranty for Gaggenau appliances is applicable when the product is purchased for normal household use within the United States or Canada. It covers the original purchaser as well as subsequent owners who continue to use the product for ordinary home use during the warranty term. Gaggenau ensures that the product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 730 days from the original purchase date. This timeline starts at the moment of the original purchase and cannot be extended or suspended for any reason. Additionally, the warranty covers cosmetic defects in material and workmanship for 60 days from the purchase or closing date for new construction. During this warranty period, Gaggenau or its authorized service providers will repair the product without charge if it's found to have manufacturing defects. If repair attempts are unsuccessful, Gaggenau may replace the product with upgraded models available for an additional fee. It's important to note that any replaced parts will match the identity of the original parts. Gaggenau's sole responsibility under this warranty is to repair manufacturer-defective products through authorized service providers during normal business hours. For safety and property protection, it's highly recommended not to attempt self-repair or use non-authorized service providers.

What is NOT covered under the Gaggenau Warranty?

The warranty policy does not cover the use of the product in any way other than its standard and intended usage. It excludes any damage resulting from willful misconduct, negligence, misuse, abuse, accidents, neglect, improper operation, failure to maintain, incorrect installation, tampering, not following operating instructions, mishandling, or unauthorized service. The policy also excludes any adjustments, alterations, or modifications. Failure to comply with relevant electrical, plumbing, and building codes, including local regulations and laws, as well as failing to install the product in accordance with local fire and building codes, is not covered. Normal wear and tear, spills of food, liquid, grease, or other substances around or within the product are not included. The warranty does not apply to damage caused by external environmental factors such as rain, wind, sand, floods, fires, mudslides, freezing temperatures, excessive moisture, extended exposure to humidity, lightning, power surges, structural failures, or acts of God. Gaggenau assumes no liability for damage to surrounding property, including cabinetry, floors, ceilings, or other structures near the product. Products with altered, defaced, or removed serial numbers are also excluded, as are service visits for product usage guidance or when there is nothing wrong with the product. Additionally, installation problems and the resetting of breakers or fuses are not covered by the warranty. Furthermore, Gaggenau will not be liable for products located in remote or inaccessible areas, hazardous environments, or areas more than 100 miles from an authorized service provider. The cosmetic warranty does not cover minor color variations resulting from inherent distinctions in painted and porcelain components, or variations attributed to factors such as kitchen lighting, the appliance's placement, or other similar influences. Additionally, this warranty explicitly does not apply to display units, floor models, "As Is" products, or "B" stock appliances.
