The warranty is applicable to the original end-user of this product. It covers defects resulting from improper workmanship and/or materials during the warranty period while the product is used under normal conditions. During the warranty duration, Friedrich will, at its discretion, either repair or replace any defective part at no cost for the part. Replaced parts are covered for the remaining time of the original warranty period. To be eligible for the warranty, the unit must be installed and operated following the provided instructions and in compliance with relevant local installation and building codes, as well as adhering to good trade practices. You are required to provide proof of the original installation date of the product to establish the effective date of the warranty.
The warranty will not be considered valid for damages resulting from accident, abuse, negligence, or misuse. It also does not cover operating the product in a corrosive atmosphere that contains substances like chlorine, fluorine, or other harmful chemicals. The warranty won't apply if the product has been modified, altered, or serviced poorly. Additionally, improper matching or application of the product or its components, failure to provide regular maintenance and service in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, and installation or operation of the product against the manufacturer's guidelines will all invalidate the warranty. Damages caused by lightning, electrical power fluctuations, operation during construction, or other Acts of God are also excluded from this limited warranty. It's important to note that the warranty does not cover the costs associated with installation, disconnection, or dismantling of the product, as well as parts used in routine maintenance like air filters or belts. Owner-required maintenance is also not included in the warranty.
