Step 1:

  • Warranty registration form requires you to fill up the three kinds of information: dealer, ComfortStar equipment and owner information. Name and address details are sheltered under dealer and ComfortStar equipment information contains information about the product, and your personal data.

  • The warranty claim form is like a PDF file but you can submit your claim directly on the website and you can't file the claim after sixty days from the date when they serviced your product.

Step 2:

  • ComfortStar provides an option for customers who have not registered their products but are still within the initial sixty-day period. To enroll your products and request replacement parts, you'll be required to provide proof of purchase and installation.

  • The warranty provides you with certain legal entitlements, and you may additionally possess different rights that can vary depending on the specific state or province you are in.

Step 3:

  • Customer support can be contacted through toll-free or direct number. In the event you want to have a conversation with a representative over the phone, prefer the latter.

  • A message submission form is accessible, and they will get in touch with you in the near future. You can find their email ID at the bottom of their contact page and our page.

  • During the warranty process, ComfortStar may provide you with one of the following solutions: either a warranty replacement or warranty service during the warranty period which can be 5, 7, or 10 years.

ComfortStar Warranty Period:

  • 5,7 and 10-year limited warranty on parts

  • 7 and 10-year limited warranty on compressors

What is covered under the ComfortStar Warranty?

ComfortStar and its distributor offer a warranty for this product to cover failures resulting from defects in materials or workmanship under standard usage and maintenance. The warranty begins from the date of original installation, but if this date cannot be verified, it starts one hundred twenty days from the date of manufacture. ComfortStar may, at its discretion, request a report from a qualified technician before honoring a warranty claim. If a part fails due to a defect during the applicable warranty period, ComfortStar will provide a new or remanufactured part, at the company's discretion, to replace the faulty component at no cost. This Limited Time Warranty is subject to all the stipulations, terms, limitations, and exclusions.

What is NOT covered under the ComfortStar Warranty?

The warranty does not cover labor or other associated costs related to the diagnosis, repair, removal, installation, shipping, servicing, or handling of defective parts, replacement parts, or new units. Additionally, any cleaning required before warranty service and repair, as well as routine maintenance outlined in the installation and servicing instructions or Owner's Manual, such as filter cleaning or replacement and lubrication, are not covered. The warranty also does not extend to failures, damages, or repairs resulting from faulty installation, misapplication, abuse, improper servicing, unauthorized alterations, or improper operation. It excludes failures to start due to voltage conditions, blown fuses, open circuit breakers, or damages caused by electrical service inadequacy or interruptions. Furthermore, the warranty does not apply to failures or damage resulting from natural disasters like floods, winds, fires, lightning, accidents, corrosive environments, or other conditions beyond the control of the Company. It also excludes damage to coils or piping due to corrosion in installations within one mile of the sea coast or corrosive environments. Parts that are not supplied or designated by the Company and damages resulting from their use are not covered. The warranty does not apply to products installed outside the continental USA and Canada. It does not cover electricity or fuel costs, increases in electricity or fuel costs for any reason, or costs related to the additional or unusual use of supplemental electric heat. The warranty does not include any expenses for replacing, refilling, or disposing of the refrigerant, including the cost of the refrigerant itself. In addition, it does not cover shipping damage or damage occurring during the transportation of the unit. Accessories such as condensate pumps, line sets, and similar items are not covered by the warranty. Finally, the warranty does not extend to any special, indirect, or consequential property or commercial damage of any kind. Any damage due to improper use, installation, or maintenance not in line with their or the manufacturer's recommendations will void the warranty.
