Confirm your product was purchased from Cobra directly or a Cobra-authorized dealer; purchases from unauthorized dealers, internet auction sites such as eBay (other than Cobra's official eBay account), or third-party Amazon resellers are not covered under the warranty.
Verify that your product's serial number is intact and unaltered. Products with missing or tampered serial numbers that cannot be identified are not eligible for warranty service.
Ensure your product has not been subjected to accident, neglect, misuse, fire, water damage, or unauthorized repair service performed by anyone other than Cobra Service personnel, will void the warranty.
Visit the Cobra website to register your product and activate your warranty. Certain products, such as radar detectors with connected features, require registration to access enhanced app functionality.
Complete your registration with your product model, serial number, and date of purchase to place your warranty details on record and facilitate faster service if a claim is needed.
Keep your original proof of purchase or receipt from Cobra or an authorized dealer in a safe place for the full duration of your warranty period. This is required to process any warranty claim.
Contact Cobra Customer Service with your product model, serial number, proof of purchase, and a clear description of the issue. Do not ship your product to Cobra without first contacting support and setting up service, as items received without prior setup will be discarded.
Once your claim is approved, pack your product securely and ship it to the Cobra Service Center at the address provided by the support team. Cobra does not cover inbound shipping charges and is not responsible for products lost in transit.
Cobra will, at their sole discretion, repair or replace your product free of charge, including parts, labor, and return shipping within the US. If your product is an end-of-life or low-stock item, Cobra may replace it with a comparable model or issue a refund.
Standard Products: Up to 3 years from date of purchase (refer to owner's manual for specific model terms)
Refurbished Power Inverters: 6 months (180 days)
Refurbished Radar Detectors: 6 months (180 days)
Refurbished Dash Cameras: 6 months (180 days)
Refurbished CB Radios: 1 year
Refurbished Marine Radios: 1 year
Open Box Items: Same warranty period as new products
Accessories (packaged or purchased separately): 1 year
Cobra Electronics warrants products against all defects in materials and workmanship from the date of original purchase from Cobra directly or an authorized dealer.
Damage caused by accident, neglect, misuse, fire, water damage, vehicle electrical system failures, or use of non-Cobra accessories or attachments.
