Step 1:

  • The Coach Limited Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship on all products purchased online at coach.com or from an authorised Coach Retail or Outlet store, for 1 year from the date of original purchase. The warranty applies to handbags, small leather goods, briefcases, apparel, footwear, and jewellery.

  • Before submitting a repair, confirm that the issue is a manufacturing defect rather than normal wear and tear. Manufacturing defects include stitching failures, hardware defects, and material flaws that occur under normal use. Wear and tear, such as leather softening, colour transfer, scratches from regular use, and staining, is not covered and cannot be repaired or refurbished by the Coach Repair Workshop.

  • Gather your original proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) before proceeding. While not strictly required, it assists Coach store associates in locating your purchase history and confirming eligibility. For online purchases with a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, you may also be able to return the item for a refund. Contact the customer care team for assistance.

Step 2:

  • Visit any Coach store and bring your item, where store associates will guide you through the process of submitting it to the Coach Repairs Workshop for evaluation. Bring your receipt or order confirmation, if possible, to help store associates locate your purchase history.

  • If you are unable to visit a Coach store, you may submit your request by mail by printing and completing the Warranty Service Request Form, which is required for the workshop to evaluate your repair. Ship your item using an insured, trackable service such as UPS or FedEx to the address listed on the form, and once it is received, you will receive an email confirmation from the Coach Repairs Workshop.

  • Once your item is received, repair specialists will assess whether it can be repaired without compromising its integrity. If it cannot be repaired, it will be returned to you, and any fees charged will be automatically refunded.

Step 3:

  • If your item is within the 1-year warranty period and has a quality defect, the repair is complimentary including stitching repair and hardware replacement on all Coach Collection products and Coach Outlet handbags, briefcases, and small leather goods.

  • If your item is within the warranty period and has a quality defect but cannot be repaired, Coach will first attempt to replace the item. If the item is no longer available, a merchandise credit for the full value of the item including tax will be issued.

  • If your item falls outside the 1-year warranty period or the issue is not related to a manufacturing defect, repairs are available at set fees starting around $40 Coach will send you a cost estimate before beginning any out-of-warranty repair work, which extends the overall repair timeline by approximately two additional weeks.

What is covered under the coach Warranty?

What is NOT covered under the coach Warranty?

Normal wear and tear from everyday use including leather softening, color changes, natural patina development, minor scuffs, and gradual fading of materials over time.

  • Stains, including ink, grease, or oil stains the Coach Repair Workshop is unable to remove stains or refurbish leather. Coach offers product care items (Leather Cleaner, Leather Moisturizer, Fabric Cleaner) for at-home maintenance but these cannot treat all stain types.
  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or improper care including water damage beyond the product's intended use, overloading, and damage from contact with harsh chemicals or surfaces.
