Confirm your product was purchased from an authorized Buffalo Americas reseller or distributor within the USA or Canada.
Locate your original proof of purchase (receipt or invoice), as warranty claims cannot be processed without it.
Ensure your product's serial number and original label are intact altered or missing labels will void the warranty.
Visit buffaloamericas's product-registration page to register your product and activate your warranty.
For Business Switch products, registration must be completed within 90 days of purchase to activate the lifetime warranty.
If you purchased an Enhanced Warranty, check your email for a registration code and use it to complete your enhanced warranty registration.
Contact Buffalo Americas Technical Support and complete the required troubleshooting steps an RMA cannot be created without this process.
Once approved, choose your RMA option: Standard Replacement (you ship the defective unit at your expense and receive a replacement via ground shipping) or Advanced Cross-ship (provide a credit card and receive a replacement with a prepaid return label).
Return the defective unit within 30 days of receiving your replacement failure to do so may result in your credit card being charged the full purchase price of the replacement.

LinkStation 200 SoHo / 700 SoHo — 3-year warranty
LinkStation 210, 220, 710, 720 — 2-year warranty
MiniStation Extreme NFC Portable Drives — 3-year warranty
MiniStation HD-PGF, SSD-PG, SSD-PUT, SSD-PHO, SSD-SAO Portable SSDs — 2-year warranty
MediaStation DVD & Blu-Ray Burners — 2-year warranty

Buffalo Americas' limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the applicable warranty period from the date of shipment.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by abnormal mechanical or environmental conditions, abuse, accidents, improper installation, misuse, insufficient or excessive electrical supply, natural disasters, or unauthorized disassembly, repair, or modification.
