What is covered under the Breitling Warranty?

For your Breitling watch or chronograph equipped with anything other than a mechanical Manufacture Breitling Movement, there's a two-year warranty in effect from the date of purchase, as detailed in the terms and conditions. If your timepiece boasts a mechanical Manufacture Breitling Movement, the Breitling International Warranty extends the coverage to five years. The Breitling International Manufacture Movement Warranty covers manufacturing defects in the mechanical Manufacture Breitling movement, provided that water resistance tests are conducted every two years by an authorized Breitling service center, free of charge. To maintain the validity of the warranty during the Warranty Period, any necessary servicing or repair work must be performed by an authorized Breitling service center. The warranty remains valid when you purchase Breitling products from authorized retailers or directly from Breitling SA or one of its subsidiary companies.

What is NOT covered under the Breitling Warranty?

The Breitling International Warranty excludes coverage for theft, loss, acts of God, natural disasters, and accidents (such as blows, shocks, or crushing). It also does not apply to damage resulting from mistreatment or improper use, any tampering with the watch by parties other than an authorized Breitling Service Center, straps other than metal bracelets, wear and tear from normal use and aging of the watch, or the metal bracelet and buckle or clasp. Routine services as recommended by the Breitling service plan are not covered. Additionally, the warranty is not applicable to watches for which the warranty has not been activated. The Breitling International Manufacture Movement Warranty does not cover water resistance problems and their consequences if the water resistance tests have not been conducted every two years.

About Breitling

Breitling, a renowned Swiss luxury watchmaker, was established in 1884 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, by Léon Breitling. The company has gained recognition for producing precision chronometers specially crafted for aviators and is headquartered in Grenchen, Switzerland. Breitling's timepieces come with mechanical or quartz movements that are chronometer-certified by the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres). These watches are typically designed with a focus on either diving, exemplified by the SuperOcean series, or aviation, as represented by the Navitimer line. Although aviation models include aviation-related features, these functions have largely been supplanted by modern electronic instruments. Breitling watches are characterized by their polished cases, bracelets, and generously sized watch faces, which enhance readability. Many models are equipped with automatic winding mechanisms and additional complications.
