Step 1:

  • To receive warranty service, you first need to get an RMA number from customer support in August. You can find customer support contact information below.

  • August may attempt to rectify the warranty-related issue before issuing the RMA number. Additional information may be requested by August upon giving the RMA number. The given RMA number shall remain valid for 30 days from the day it is issued. Upon receipt of the RMA number, the Device shall be shipped prepaid, proof of purchase, and all accessories (in their original packaging or equivalent protection) to an authorized distribution facility specified by the Customer Service representative of August.

  • If you don’t return any of your accessories, there may be a hold-up, or you may be charged an invoice for the accessories you didn’t return.

Step 2:

  • If you’re the original customer of the Product from August and are not happy with it, you can return it in good condition within 30 days of your original purchase and get a full refund. You’ll need an RMA number to return your product. An RMA number is given to you by customer support. The RMA number is valid for 30 days from the date of your original purchase. A product returned after 30 days will be returned to you.

  • If a Device is returned to August during a Warranty Period, August shall determine whether the Device is defective. Upon such, August shall repair or replace the Device with either a new Smart Lock or a refurbished Smart Lock and refund the original Purchase Price in exchange for the Device.

Step 3:

  • In the event of the expiration of the Warranty Period or if the Warranty Period is otherwise not applicable under the Scope and Limit Warranty, August shall return the Device to the customer.

  • If you experience a problem with any of August's products during your warranty period, kindly fill in the relevant information they ask for each product, serial number, and product knowledge, and describe the issue you're facing—contact support for August's product.

  • 1 year [2 years for Pro customers certified] Limited Hardware Warranty. only to the person or organization that purchased the device from August or one of its authorized retailers or distributors; and for Devices purchased and shipped to the end user in the U.S. or Canada.
