Locate the alphanumeric Serial Number and production date found on the labels attached to the helmet's chin strap, as these unique identifiers are mandatory for the technical team to verify the specific batch and hardware revision of your gear.
Keep a digital or physical copy of your original sales receipt from an authorized AGV dealer, because the warranty is strictly valid only for the original retail purchaser and the receipt serves as the definitive proof of your purchase date and dealer location.
Check the certificate of authenticity or the product tag for a QR code that allows you to link your helmet to your official profile, ensuring that your hardware version is documented for streamlined claim processing and safety notifications.
Log into the AGV Consumer Care Portal to submit your technical details and photos of the reported defect, which allows the specialist team to perform a first technical evaluation and determine if the issue requires a physical inspection.
Ensure your helmet is clean and in good hygienic condition before initiating a return, as the service centers reserve the right to refuse items that do not meet factory health and safety standards for technical handling.
Perform a basic inspection of the visor mechanism and interior padding to rule out issues caused by normal wear and tear or improper maintenance, which are typically excluded from factory-backed manufacturing defect coverage.
Obtain an official Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) or a claim reference number from the dealer where you originally purchased the helmet, as they will serve as the primary point of contact for shipping the item back to the factory technicians.
Follow the detailed shipping instructions provided by the authorized dealer or the AGV support team, ensuring that the helmet is securely packaged to prevent any further cosmetic damage or shell stress during transit to the service facility.
Coordinate the final resolution once the unit has been inspected by the workshop team, after which AGV will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product with a new or functionally equivalent unit to restore your head protection.
AGV offers its own warranty to supplement the legal warranty, lasting 5 years from the date of purchase, providing coverage on any manufacturing defects.
