Step 1:

  • Confirm purchase as new from authorized seller; excludes open box, scratch/dent, used, or reseller items warranty non-transferable.

  • Verify within 12 months (24 on select Accucold) from original purchase; compressor covered 60 months (parts only after year 1).

  • Issue must be defect in materials/workmanship under normal use, not abuse, misuse, accidents, power issues, alterations. 

Step 2:

  • Register via Summit's support site to speed up claims.

  • Provide model/serial numbers (on unit label), purchase date, and proof like receipt for records.

  • Keeps warranty details on file; required for service validation.

Step 3:

  • If you bought from a retail store, return it to the store of purchase if that's not possible and the product is still under warranty, contact Consumer Relations with your model number ready.

  • If you bought from the Summit Appliance website, returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt fill out the Returns Form on your packing slip, include all original materials, and ship using an insured tracked method; a pre-printed return label is included on your packing slip for convenience.

  • Once approved, Summit Appliance will repair or replace your product at their discretion no refunds will be given under warranty; turnaround time is typically two to four weeks.

Summit Warranty Period:

  • All Summit products come with 1 year of parts and labor coverage (that's 2 years for select Accucold models, or just 90 days for microwaves and accessories).

  • Refrigerators and freezers have a 5-year limited parts warranty on the compressor.

  • You get 30 days to return direct buys from the Summit site, but the full warranty only kicks in the contiguous US plus parts of Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada.

What is covered under the Summit Warranty?

FSI covers defects in the cabinet and parts with 1 year of parts and labor for most products (that's 2 years on select Accucold models) for the original buyer under everyday use.

  • Refrigerators and freezers get an extra 5-year warranty just on the compressor (parts only after the first year), and FSI handles repairs or swaps as they see fit.
  • This applies only to folks in the contiguous US and parts of AK, HI, and Canada, no refunds, and it's for consumers, not stores.

What is NOT covered under the Summit Warranty?

Stuff like misuse, accidents, tweaks or bad installs, power problems, drops, ignoring maintenance, floods, fires, or shipping bumps.

  • Open-box deals, dented clearance items, used or fixed-up products, auction flips, or passing the warranty to someone else.
  • Spoiled food claims, dodgy wiring or extension cords, changes without FSI's okay, or units outside the main US/Canada areas.
