What is covered under the Serta Warranty?

This limited warranty from Serta safeguards the original purchaser from material and workmanship defects during the warranty period (see the law tag for the warranty code). Warrants typically relate to defects in the material used to construct the mattress or problems associated with the mattress's construction. Excessive sagging and indentations that exceed a specified depth (generally 1.5 inch or more) are covered by warranties, thus ensuring that the mattress retains its essential support properties. If the mattress contains springs and coils, a warranty may cover defects or breaks in those components. Furthermore, warranties may cover substantial and long-lasting body impressions that influence the mattress's comfort and support.

What is NOT covered under the Serta Warranty?

The warranty coverage of the Serta warranty does not include items not specifically listed in the warranty coverage section, such as: (a) transportation and inspection costs; (b) mattresses used in hotel, motel, or institutional settings; (c) mattresses sold or as floor samples; (d) mattresses purchased from second hand sources; (e) mattresses purchased as a gift from a third party; (e) mattress height; (f) comfort preference; (g) corner guards; (e) bent perimeter border rods; (i) sleep sets for Innerspring models; (j) replacement of another piece of a sleep set, unless it is also defective; mattress damage due to misuse or abuse of the mattress; (i) mattress damage caused by an inappropriate foundation; sheet fit; (i) fabric stains and soiling; (ii) tears or burns; (iii) mattress cover damage caused by improper care, including removal of cover; and mattress fabric (except for All Foam mattresses). The warranty coverage does not include changes in softness or recovery time over time, as long as the mattress is made of memory foam or latex materials.
