What is covered under the Noritz Warranty?

Noritz provides a warranty for their products installed at their original location, ensuring they are free from material defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty is exclusively for the initial buyer and becomes void upon transferring the product to another individual or entity. To activate this warranty, the product must be installed using an approved method recognized by Noritz, following Noritz's published materials relevant to the product's type and model number, as well as the instructions in the Installation Manual and Owner's Guide included with the product. The warranty is in effect for the duration of the specified Warranty Period, commencing on the date of proper installation or 30 days after the purchase, whichever comes first. To establish the Warranty Effective Date, it is necessary to provide Noritz with the date of proper installation and a copy of the original purchase receipt.

What is NOT covered under the Noritz Warranty?

The warranty will no longer be valid if any of the following factors are determined to contribute to the Product's failure under this warranty: abuse, neglect, misuse, or misapplication; improper, dangerous, or destructive maintenance procedures; use in conjunction with any unapproved device; installation in a corrosive or otherwise damaging environment, whether internal or external; incorrect gas or water pressure; incorrect sizing for the intended application; use with an improper gas type; damage due to freezing within the Product or surrounding piping; damage resulting from use with non-potable water, untreated or poorly treated well water, or water with high pH levels or hardness levels exceeding 12 grains per gallon (200 mg/L) (refer to the "Water Quality" section of the Owner's Guide for details); damage from acts of God, including but not limited to fire, flood, lightning, or natural disasters; damage from using the Product for purposes other than those it was designed for; damage from unauthorized attachments or modifications; damage arising from the improper installation of the Product; and damage incurred during shipment. These conditions should be taken into consideration to understand the conditions under which the warranty would not apply.
