Step 1:

  • Locate the unique Serial Number and MAC address found on the product label or via the MOBOTIX Management Center (MxMC) to register the device to your organization's security profile.

  • Verify that your hardware was purchased through an authorized MOBOTIX partner, as the warranty is strictly valid for the original purchaser and requires a legitimate proof of purchase.

Step 2:

  • Access the camera's web interface to download the System Report and error logs, providing technical specialists with the necessary diagnostic data for a preliminary remote evaluation.

  • Describe the specific hardware malfunction such as image sensor degradation, thermal sensor failure, or PoE power issues to help the technical team determine if the unit requires a physical workshop inspection.

  • Rule out infrastructure factors by verifying that the camera is running the latest stable firmware and is installed using approved MOBOTIX mounting accessories and surge protection.

Step 3:

  • Open an official support ticket through the MOBOTIX Support Portal to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before shipping any hardware for service.

  • Follow the detailed packaging instructions to protect the sensitive optical lenses and sensors during transit, utilizing original packaging whenever possible to prevent cosmetic or structural damage.

  • Coordinate with your certified MOBOTIX partner or the regional service center for the final resolution; at MOBOTIX’s discretion, the non-conforming hardware will be repaired or replaced to restore it to factory specifications.

Mobotix Warranty Period:

  • Typically about 3 years for cameras.
