What is covered under the Midea Warranty?

The Midea warranty provides protection for the product and serves as the sole warranty or condition applicable. The products are covered by a warranty starting from the date of the original purchase. During this specified time period, the exclusive solution available to you is to have this product or any defective component repaired or replaced, as determined by them. However, you are responsible for all costs associated with shipping the product to them and for the return of the product or component under this warranty. If the product or component is no longer available, it will be substituted with a similar one of equal or greater value. This warranty is applicable exclusively to the original consumer purchaser or the recipient of the gift. Please retain the original sales receipt. All liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.

  • 1-year warranty on parts and labor

  • 10-year warranty on compressor only

What is NOT covered under the Midea Warranty?

This warranty excludes coverage for various situations and conditions. It does not cover failures resulting from damage to the product while it is in your possession, except for damage caused by defects or malfunctions. It also does not cover improper installation, unreasonable product use, failure to provide necessary maintenance, or failure to follow the provided Installation and Instruction Manual. Products sold "as-is" or refurbished are not covered by this warranty. Additionally, any food loss due to refrigerator or freezer failure, service calls related to consumables like water filters, light bulbs, air filters, handles, knobs, or cosmetic parts, as well as products transferred from their original owner, are not covered. Interior or exterior rust on the unit is also excluded from warranty coverage, as are damages caused by services performed by individuals other than authorized Midea servicers, use of non-Midea replacement parts, obtaining services from sources other than Midea customer service, or damages resulting from external factors such as abuse, misuse, inadequate power supply, or natural disasters. Service calls arising from improper product installation are not covered. Additional charges, including but not limited to after-hour, weekend, or holiday service calls, tolls, ferry trip charges, or mileage expenses for service calls to remote areas, including the state of Alaska, are not covered. If the unit is used for commercial, business, rental, or any purpose other than consumer use, they do not provide warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular use or purpose. This warranty also does not cover products that have been taken outside the USA or Canada and products without original serial numbers or with altered or indeterminable serial numbers. Please note that some states may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
