What is covered under the Linn Warranty?

The warranty is applicable to products within the warranty period that exhibit defects during normal domestic use due to faults in materials or workmanship. Linn Products Limited ("Linn") will, at its discretion, either regulate, adjust, repair, or replace the product free of charge (subject to the following conditions) within a reasonable time after the product is returned to Linn's address as specified. The warranty covers the cost of parts and associated labor necessary to rectify such defects in materials or workmanship reported to your retailer or Linn during the warranty period.

  • 1-year warranty on any hard drives, professional audio products, and phono cartridges

  • 2-year warranty on lasers

  • 5-year warranty on parts and labour

What is NOT covered under the Linn Warranty?

The warranty does not extend to cover damage to Linn products while in the possession of a shipper, retailer, or consumer, provided such damage is not caused by defects in materials or workmanship. Additionally, it excludes coverage for damage resulting from normal wear and tear, abnormal or unreasonable use (including unauthorized repairs or alterations performed by someone other than Linn or its nominated repair centers), accidents, acts of nature, misuse, abuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications. The warranty also does not cover defects, deterioration, malfunction, or failure to meet performance specifications arising from improper installation, removal, or maintenance, failure to follow supplied instructions, unauthorized repairs, shipment of the product (with claims to be presented to the retailer for communication to the carrier), or any cause other than a product defect due to a fault in materials or workmanship. Furthermore, it does not include coverage for cleaning, initial set-up, check-ups with no defects found, or charges incurred for product installation. The warranty is not applicable to products on which the serial number has been defaced, modified, or removed, as well as accessories such as cables, mounting hardware, brackets, cleaning accessories, antennas, detachable power cords, and turntable belts (or defects related to them). Finally, it excludes coverage for products subjected to internal modifications or upgrades not supported by Linn or those using non-Linn approved parts, as well as any Linn product purchased outside the UK.

About Linn

Established by Ivor Tiefenbrun in 1973, Linn originated from one individual's conviction that he could significantly enhance the sound quality of his home music system through precision engineering and dedicated experimentation. The inaugural product, the modular and upgradeable Sondek LP12, brought about a revolution in the hi-fi industry by showcasing the substantial musical improvement a finely engineered turntable could bring to any hi-fi setup. With over fifty retrofit options for both mechanical and electrical enhancements to its initial design, the Sondek LP12 has upheld its status as the performance benchmark in vinyl playback over the past five decades and continues to do so today.
