What is covered under the John Lewis Warranty?

The guarantee applies when authorized service technicians provide repair services. This is accessible to you in case of a malfunction in any operational component of your product within the warranty period. If your product cannot be repaired, it will be replaced with either the same model or one with comparable specifications. In the absence of an equivalent product, you will be offered either the closest alternative or a refund of its value on a John Lewis E-gift card.

  • 5-year guarantee on TVs

What is NOT covered under the John Lewis Warranty?

The guarantee excludes coverage for accidental damage, and repair costs arising from external factors like computer viruses, faulty software, fire, theft, and weather. It also does not cover repair costs resulting from a failure to adhere to the manufacturer's general care, maintenance instructions, and installation guidelines. Failure due to an incorrect or abnormal electrical supply or signal lead connection, defects in external wiring or in the electrical connection not forming part of the covered product, consumables such as external storage cards, games, and applications, data loss, cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, corrosion, or color alterations where the function of the product is unaffected, any loss suffered due to the inability to use the product or any loss beyond the purchase price of the original item is not covered. Additionally, services such as servicing, inspecting, or cleaning of the product are not covered, and failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions and installation guidelines is excluded. Deliberate damage or neglect of the product, third-party applications, and services for goods purchased and used outside of the UK, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands are also not covered by the guarantee.
