3 Simple Steps for Google Chromecast Warranty Claim:

Step 1:

  • Creating an account on the official website is a prerequisite for contacting the Google Chromecast customer support team, and it will be more convenient if you already have one.

  • If your package doesn't include a tracking number, you can utilize the estimated delivery date range found in your Google Store order history to monitor the status of your order.

  • Whether you wish to cancel or modify your order, Google Chromecast offers customers the convenience of making adjustments or canceling their orders. This approach also extends to orders placed through the Google Store.

Step 2:

  • You have the option to return most items bought from the Google Store within a 15-calendar-day period commencing from the date of receipt. To access the order history, Google Chromecast requests clients to input their email and guest order number.

  • Upon receiving your item, Google will provide you with further details regarding your refund. After you've received the confirmation message, please allow up to 48 hours for updates on your refund status.

Step 3:

  • The help center is structured into several sections to provide answers to your queries. These sections encompass topics like subscriptions and installations, promotions, repairs or replacements, orders and deliveries, recycling, and other informative categories.

  • You will be able to see the Contact Us option that provides call-back or chat options at the end of the help center. Pick the convenient one for you, but you may have to wait for more than one minute to receive a response from them after addressing your issues in the given box.

  • During the warranty process, Google Chromecast may provide you with one of the following solutions: either a warranty replacement or warranty service during the warranty period.

What is covered under the Google Chromecast Warranty?

Google provides a warranty for new products, inclusive of any accompanying parts. These products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under standard usage conditions, as specified in Google's user documentation, for one year from the original retail purchase date in their original packaging. For refurbished products, the warranty extends for ninety days from the original retail purchase date. If a defect covered by this Limited Warranty arises during the warranty period, you have the option to return your product. Google, at its discretion and within legal bounds, will either repair it using new or refurbished components, replace it with a new or refurbished product of comparable functionality, or issue a refund for the purchase price. Repaired or replaced products maintain the warranty for the remaining duration of the original period. Any parts returned for replacement become Google's property, and there may be a risk of data loss during the repair or replacement process. It's essential to note that this Limited Warranty does not diminish or affect your legal rights concerning your Google product. Furthermore, this warranty is valid and enforceable exclusively in regions where Google products are available for purchase. It becomes applicable if you purchased your Google product directly from Google or its authorized resellers.

  • 1-year limited warranty

What is NOT covered under the Google Chromecast Warranty?

The limited warranty does not cover damages resulting from various factors, including regular wear and tear, accidents, misuse (including failure to follow product documentation), negligence, disassembly, modifications, service conducted by individuals not authorized by Google, and external factors such as water damage, contact with sharp objects, excessive force, electrical current irregularities, or extreme thermal or environmental conditions. It's worth noting that the limited warranty does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free usage of the Google product.

About Google Chromecast

Chromecast, a range of digital media players created by Google, consists of compact dongle-style devices. These devices are capable of streaming internet-based audio-visual content to high-definition televisions or home audio systems. Users have the ability to manage playback either through mobile devices or personal computers using mobile and web applications compatible with the Google Cast protocol, or by issuing voice commands through Google Assistant. Subsequent models introduced an interactive user interface and a dedicated remote control. Additionally, content can be mirrored onto video displays using the Google Chrome web browser on a personal computer or from the screens of certain Android devices.
