Step 1:

  • Before seeking service, verify that your device's issue is a result of a manufacturing fault in material or workmanship under normal use. The standard warranty specifically excludes damage caused by physical impact (dropping), liquid ingress (water damage), unauthorized disassembly, or the use of non-original accessories.

  • Ensure you have your Proof of Purchase (invoice or stamped warranty card) and the IMEI Number ready. You can find your IMEI by dialing *#06# or checking "About Phone" in your settings. Note that vivo only honors warranties for products purchased through official channels.

Step 2:

  • To streamline your repair, authenticate your device via the IMEI Authentication tool on the official vivo website. This confirms your device's origin and warranty eligibility.

  • You can initiate a claim by contacting vivo through their Live Chat, WhatsApp, or Email Support portals. For many regions, you can use the vivo.com app to activate an E-warranty card, which serves as a digital certificate if you have lost your paper receipt.

Step 3:

  • Once your claim is processed, you will transition to the hands-on support phase. Depending on your location and model, you can choose between a physical visit to an Authorized Service Center or utilizing the Free Pick-up & Drop Service (available in select regions like India and Malaysia).

  • Backup & Security: It is critical to back up all personal data and perform a factory reset before handing over the device. vivo is not responsible for data loss during the repair process.

  • A certified engineer will inspect the handset to confirm warranty eligibility. If the defect is a verified quality issue, vivo will repair the device using 100% original spare parts at no cost.

Vivo Warranty Period:

  • Smartphone Main Device: 12 to 24 Months Warranty.

  • Charger & Data Cable: 6 Months Warranty.

  • Earphones: 6 Months Warranty.
