Step 1:

  • Before beginning, confirm that your tire issue is a result of a manufacturing defect in material or workmanship rather than normal wear and tear or road hazard damage. The protection plan specifically excludes failures caused by punctures, cuts, improper inflation, or mechanical issues like bad suspension.

  • Verify that your tires were produced within the last six years (based on the DOT serial number) and were purchased through an authorized retailer in the USA or Canada.

  • Ensure you have the original proof of purchase and, if making a tread life claim, verifiable maintenance records (such as rotation logs every 5,000 miles), as the technical team requires this to confirm the tires were properly cared for.

Step 2:

  • To initiate the process, you must present your vehicle and the tires in question to an authorized Falken dealer. Unlike small electronics, tire claims require a physical inspection by a certified professional to measure tread depth and assess the damage.

  • The dealer will provide and complete an official FTC Warranty Adjustment Claim Form, documenting the tire's DOT serial number, current odometer reading, and the specific nature of the problem.

  • Clear markings (using a tire crayon) are often required on the tire itself to identify the claim number and the exact site of the defect, ensuring the quality assurance team can accurately evaluate the unit once it is received at the warehouse.

Step 3:

  • If the claim is approved and the tire is within the first 2/32" (1.6mm) of wear, it will be replaced free of charge; after this initial period, a pro-rated credit will be issued based on the remaining usable tread depth.

  • While not mandatory to receive service, you are highly encouraged to complete your Product Registration on the official website; this ensures that the manufacturer has your contact information on file for any future safety-related notifications or recall updates.

  • Once the dealer completes the adjustment, any replacement tire provided will be covered by the same limited warranty terms, helping you get back on the road with the "winning Falken feeling" and continued peace of mind.
