You should have your Order Number or a digital Proof of Purchase from an authorized retailer ready to validate your claim. Most systems require the Serial Number (found on the bottom of the device or within the eero app) to verify the production batch. It is essential to use the eero App to run a network diagnostic first; this ensures the defect is a hardware malfunction rather than a service provider outage or a software configuration error.
To initiate the process, you must contact the official Support team to open a digital intake ticket and obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Because eero systems are high-precision electronic nodes, the technical team requires specific troubleshooting data to authorize a replacement.
You must provide the Device Model and a detailed description of the failure, such as a persistent red status light, an Ethernet port failure, or power cycle loops. You may also be asked for the serial number of the Power Adapter to ensure the unit hasn't been damaged by a non-genuine power source. In many cases, the brand may choose to ship a replacement unit before you even return the faulty one, provided the claim is validated through their digital portal.
If the claim is authorized, the company will at its discretion exchange the defective unit for a new or refurbished replacement of the same or later version. Once the RMA is issued, follow the provided shipping instructions carefully to avoid being charged for the replacement hardware.
While submitting your claim, you are highly encouraged to link your hardware to your Amazon Account within the app; this ensures your device history and warranty status are saved for faster future inquiries. You must return the faulty unit using the prepaid label provided by the team within the specified 30 day window. Proper packaging is a mechanical necessity to prevent transit damage, which could otherwise disqualify the unit from factory coverage.
