Step 1:

  • Find the S/N and MAC address on the product label, usually located on the bottom or back of the device; this identifier is mandatory for verifying the hardware version and production date.

  • Keep a digital copy of your original sales invoice from an authorized dealer; the receipt serves as the definitive proof of purchase and is required to validate the claim.

Step 2:

  • Log into the official support portal or email the technical desk to submit your device details; providing your current configuration allows engineers to determine if the issue can be resolved with a remote firmware fix.

  • Ensure your device is running the most recent firmware available on the Edimax download center; many performance issues are resolved by factory-issued software improvements.

  • Use a physical tool to reset the hardware to its default state to rule out configuration errors.

  • Note the behavior of the LED indicator lights and capture any error messages from the management interface to provide the data needed for a hardware evaluation.

Step 3:

  • If the evaluation confirms a hardware-level defect, an official Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will be issued; no units should be shipped back without this specific case number.

  • Follow the shipping instructions provided during the authorization process for your specific geographic area, ensuring the RMA number is clearly marked on the package.

  • Once received and validated, Edimax will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product with a new or functionally equivalent unit to restore your network's operational capacity.
