Before beginning, confirm that your luggage issue is a result of a manufacturing flaw in materials or workmanship. Delsey’s warranty specifically covers apparent defects that interfere with the normal use of the product, such as faulty zippers, broken handles, or defective wheels. It specifically excludes damage caused by common carrier mishandling (airlines), normal wear and tear, accidents, or misuse.
Ensure you have your original dated sales receipt or a stamped warranty certificate ready to validate your claim. If you do not have these documents, Delsey reserves the right to refuse warranty service. If your luggage was damaged by an airline, you should file a claim with the carrier at the airport immediately upon arrival.
Note that electronic and electrical components (excluding batteries) are typically covered for a separate period of two years. To determine the specific length of your luggage's warranty, check the hangtag, the interior label, or the documentation provided at the time of purchase.
To initiate the process, it is recommended to visit the official Delsey USA "Warranty & Repairs" section or the US Customer Service Help Center. While registration is not mandatory for coverage, it is highly encouraged to facilitate the claim process.
You must identify your product’s model or reference number, which can often be found on the interior label or near the main compartment zipper. Be prepared to provide a detailed description of the defect, such as "wheel housing failure" or "telescopic handle malfunction."
High-quality photographs of the defect are required for assessment. If the technical team determines that a physical evaluation is necessary, you will be instructed to ship or take your product to a Delsey Authorized Repair Center. Please note that any shipping costs to the repair center are the responsibility of the customer.
If the evaluation at the repair center confirms a warrantable defect, Delsey will at its discretion repair the product or provide a replacement. If the specific model is no longer available, a comparable item of the same price will be substituted.
While submitting your claim, you are highly encouraged to complete your Warranty Registration online at the official portal. This ensures your purchase details and warranty certificate are stored digitally, making any future technical support or claims significantly faster.
Once the repair center authorizes a solution, follow their specific instructions carefully. For approved warranty repairs, Delsey typically covers the cost of parts and labor, as well as the return shipping to send the repaired or replaced item back to you.
Limited Warranty: 2, 5, or 10 Years (depending on the product line).
Electronic Components: 2 Years (excluding batteries).
