Arlec also warrants, to the original first purchaser of this product from a retailer, that this product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase. This warranty is contingent upon the product not being used or installed for any purpose other than intended, and not in a manner beyond the scope of recommendations and limitations specified by Arlec. The product should be new, undamaged at the time of purchase, properly installed by a licensed electrician or contractor authorized to install electrical products in the relevant location, and in accordance with Arlec's installation instructions. Additionally, it should be maintained according to Arlec's specified recommendations. Arlec will evaluate any claim made under this warranty, and if, in Arlec's reasonable opinion, the warranty is applicable, Arlec will, at its own discretion and expense, either replace the product with the same or a similar one and return it to you, or refund the price you paid for the product. Arlec will cover its own expenses for these actions and any other expenses associated with claiming the warranty must be borne by you.
The warranty does not apply to products that have been damaged due to abuse, misuse, neglect, or if the product has been altered or repaired without Arlec's approval. It also excludes coverage for the removal or re-installation of the product or the specific part that you believe is defective.
