Step 1:

  • Before initiating a ticket, perform a manual Deep Cycle to determine whether the issue is a software calibration error or a true hardware failure. Goal Zero batteries require specific maintenance to remain eligible for warranty protection. The battery must be fully charged within seven days of purchase and recharged at least once every six months. If a unit is left depleted, any resulting damage is not covered.

  • It is recommended to complete product registration on the official Goal Zero website after purchase. Registration helps record your device details and may assist in confirming your warranty start date.

  • Have your product model and serial number ready for verification. Also, keep a digital copy of your original sales receipt, as it is the primary document used to confirm the beginning of your warranty coverage.

Step 2:

  • If your hardware continues to show an error code or fails to accept a solar charge, it is time to request a Return Material Authorization (RMA). You must use the official Goal Zero contact us portal to open a digital intake ticket. For users in the United States, this service is provided directly by Goal Zero, while international users should coordinate through the authorized retailer where the product was originally purchased.

  • You must provide a detailed description of the failure along with your proof of purchase. The support team will evaluate your claim and, if authorized, provide you with a unique RMA number. It is critical to pack the item in its original packaging or a specifically approved equivalent, clearly marking the RMA number on the exterior to ensure your gear is tracked accurately through the diagnostic facility.

Step 3:

  • Once your gear arrives at the service center, the engineering team will perform a formal assessment. Goal Zero reserves the option to either repair the unit using new or refurbished parts or exchange it for a product that is at least functionally equivalent to your original hardware.

  • Note that you are responsible for the shipping costs when sending the unit to Goal Zero, but the brand will cover the expenses to return the repaired or replacement product to you. Any replacement item assumes the remaining balance of your original warranty or 90 days, whichever provides longer coverage. This ensures your ecosystem remains integrated and your adventures remain powered without a permanent financial setback.
